RegCure Review - First impressions

RegCure is one of the few products on clickbank that is by a really big, well known company, and it doesn't look like another BS product with fake claims. As the name suggests, this is basically a piece of software to clean your registry. This is different from adware/spyware removers -- the windows registry can be damaged the more you use your computer, and this software is designed to clean up your registry and make your computer run like new again.

Before you buy the software, RegCure.com offers a free trial version. They claim to let you have automatic/manual removal, a built in scheduler, a startup manager (this one is pretty useful) and more. I actually brought this thing several months ago, so here's a screenshot of it on my computer:

What general internet users had to say about RegCure

Since this is a software product, it was pretty easy to find reviews of it on major download sites.

Here is regcure on download.com. Out of 7 reviews there, it is given an average of only 2 stars out of 5.

There is this very negative review here, where RegCure gets 2/10. That site also links to a few threads on a complaints board site, where a few people are complaining about it.

However, there is this VERY good review on softpedia (which is totally non-biased) where it gets 3/5.

Whereas on this software site, RegCure has an average review (out of 70 votes) of 4/5.

As you can see, there is a VERY wide range of feedback for this piece of software.

What our research suggests

From what we have found in our research above, RegCure isn't exactly a perfect piece of software. There are some very different opinions of it. I tend to trust the softpedia review the most (because the editor would actually know what they're talking about) where it gets 3 stars out of 5. That is a decent score.

Because of their nature, I believe ANY registry cleaning software is going to have a lot of bad reviews from users who buy the software and find it doesn't magically fix their PC. Sometimes your computer is just going to be beyond repair, and then getting a program to clean up your registry won't help you much.

I have used RegCure myself, and think that overall it is an ok product. Not a magic bullet, but it does its job. For only $29.95 this is also fairly easily affordable and could easily be worth getting.
